Stretch Goal Reached!!
over 9 years ago – Fri, May 29, 2015 at 05:47:57 AM

Thanks to all of our backers and for your support, we have just hit our first stretch goal!! We are excited to add the GPIO Smartware to our list of Smartwares, making a total of 24 different Smartwares that you can choose from for your project! With the GPIO Smartware, you will be able to connect to your specific electronics. Be free, fellow hackers!

We will be throwing in a FREE GPIO Smartware to backers of our PRO Kit and higher tiers, and to everyone else, the GPIO Smartware will be an additional option in our list of Smartwares.

Thanks again for your support and for giving us this opportunity to develop tools to help you make, smarter. But don’t give up now, our next stretch goal is nearby and will give you control of Cubit through your Android device! Help us give this feature to all of our backers by continuing to share with your friends!

Excited,

The Cubit Team

Stretch Goals and Maker Faire
over 9 years ago – Wed, May 20, 2015 at 02:02:02 PM

Everyone here on the Cubit Team has been in the lab trying to come up with the best way we can thank our backers as we move beyond our initial funding goal. We have been going over all of the comments and feedback from backers. We wanted to provide backers with new ways to make Cubit extendable, customizable, and more easy-to-use than it already is. We think that we have achieved that ambition and then some with our new Stretch Goals:

The $75,000 stretch goal is fast approaching and with it comes an easy way for users to integrate their own sensors, motors, and custom electronics into the Cubit system. With full support in Cubit Workshop, we want to make all kinds of electronic components easy to use and easy to connect with all the other powerful features Cubit has to offer.

The GPIO Smartware will be automatically included with the PRO kit and all higher tiers. Share Cubit with your co-workers, friends, and family and help us smash these stretch goals!

In other Cubit news, we just finished a successful weekend at the Bay Area Maker Faire! We shared Cubit with thousands of makers and had the chance to interact with our backers directly. To everyone who stopped by our booth, thank you so much for your support.

While we didn’t get to leave our booth much because of the constant stream of interested visitors, it was clear that this was the biggest Maker Faire to date! The Maker Movement is growing fast. With Cubit, makers of all experience levels now have a new set of powerful tools to bring their visions to life!

Thank you for your support and keep making!

Sincerely,
The Cubit Team
